Monday. Chair 12. Leann
2:47pm At dialysis
No soap in the bathroom.
Weight high probably from lots of salt content in cold medicine.
Told about how Sunday morning found lots of blood on nightgown from fistula bleeding in the night. It had clogged off. Nurse asked about Fistula gram, and Tech told horror stories of people bleeding to death in their sleep, and someone else breaking their bone and it caused the fistula to bleed and they bled to death. Lovely.
3:06pm All set
Nurse put me on Profile 2. In the two years of going there, I hadn't heard of it. Takes more off in the beginning rather than the end.
5:26pm (2 hours into it...) Not feeling great. A little anxiety because it feels like just before cramping. Twitching...and more. Val had just turned me back ....probably to the regular profile (1?).
6:07pm Doing okay. Wish time went faster for just a bit. Felt better, then not and back again. They asked me about oxygen and I said yes.
When getting ready for holding, I had to take off hat, headphones, and oxygen for the standing bp ;)
7:38pm Chris held with betadine to start with and it only went like 10 minutes. Done, Finally! ;)
Still no soap in the bathroom...forgot to mention it.
Talked to Linda in the lobby as I was gathering my stuff.
7:47pm Car won't start.
It was so cold outside to deal with the car not starting. I called David in IL, and we worked for about an hour doing different stuff. Finally I got the address of the dialysis place, and he called the car service that he had, and they were going to come get me. I asked for a ride from a guy I only first talked to less than a week ago, and I took the key off my key chain to leave it under the mat for the repair service. I thought I'd give it one more try (after having my kids praying), and the car started! Praise G_d! It was so hairy for a while there, late at night, in the cold, not many friends and the center going to close and David in IL, and the snow storm coming.
8:37pm Weird sound in back. (Found out from David later,)It was the power supply plugged into the lighter, also a knocking sound in the front.
8:57pm Home! Took car to the shop next day on the icy roads, got the $400. repair.
